With the Olympics now in full swing, we've already seen the USA Olympic swim team finish yesterday with a gold medal, two silvers and a bronze medal. Dana Vollmer won the gold medal in the women's 100 butterfly and also broke the world record in the event with a new record time of 55.98 seconds. Allison Schmidt won the silver medal for the 400 meter freestyle and Hansen Brendan Hansen for the bronze medal in the 100 breaststroke.
But theres more than just medals to the USA team, there's a ton of pride and ofcourse team spirit. Check out this video of the USA swim team doing a cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's single "Call me Maybe" on their flight across the pond to London & during practices:
Carly Rae Jepsen's song was an overnight hit, playing internationally at clubs, weddings, house partie, workout playlist, and now a youtube cover by the USA Olympic Swim team. But it's Carly's fashion sense that's most intriguing, specifically her socks! Check out her style:
#1 The Finished look for the cover of "Call me Maybe"
What you need to execute this fun flirty look for the summer...
The socks above are a simple component but a great detail. The original look Carly has includes a mustard heel, but a pale pink works too.
#2 Sophisticatedly Sexy
Okay so maybe you don't want "Fun" or "Flirty" - you want to get straight to the point, sexy. And the look above does just that, check out those gray knee highs. A small detail, but really brings our the shades of gray in the outfit.
What you need to execute this look for the summer...
The necklace, hat and bracelet have a bronze finish really complementing the gray tones of the top and of course those knee highs.
Two great looks from the star of "Call me maybe" and inspiration for the USA Swim teams little bit of fun. Goodluck to everyone in the London Olympics, we're all watching closely!
